MAYWOOD DEPOT APPEARS ON A LATE 19TH CENTURY MAP AT THE PRESENT-DAY LOCATION OF THE BROAD HOLLOW ROAD (RT. 110) CROSSING HOWEVER TIMETABLES DO NOT LIST A STATION FOR PSGR.SERVICE. “MAYWOOD SIDING” IS INDICATED IN CR4 BOOKS WHICH LIST SIDINGS AND WAS USED PROBABLY AS A TEAM TRACK. IT IS DOUBTFUL THAT A FREIGHT DEPOT WAS IN USE AS THE SIDING IS INDICATED IN THE CR4 AS BEING HANDLED BY
THE AGENT AT FARMINGDALE. THE SIDING WAS GONE BY THE LATE 1920s AND THE GRADE CROSSING ELIMINATED.

THE C.R.R.L.I. CROSSED THE SOUTH SIDE RAILROAD AT BELMONT JUNCTION. AFTER THOSE ROADS WERE MERGED A CONNECTION WAS INSTALLED AND THE TRACK WAS REMOVED SOUTH OF THE CROSSING. A PASSENGER STATION EXISTED FROM 1873 UNTIL AT LEAST 1880.
"LONG ISLAND AND WHERE TO GO" FROM 1877 SHOWS A DEPOT AND TELEGRAPH OFFICE WITH FIVE DAILY TRAINS EACH WAY.
EMPLOYE TIME TABLE NUMBER 22 OF JUNE 1885 SHOWS A TELEGRAPH OFFICE BUT NO TRAINS STOPPING. BY 1896 BELMONT JUNCTION IS NO LONGER IN THE TIMETABLES.
THE PROPOSED CENTRAL RAILROAD OF LONG ISLAND LINE TO THE FIRE ISLAND DOCK IS SHOWN ON THE BEERS ATLAS. THE TERMINAL WAS ERECTED OPPOSITE THE WATSON HOUSE. THE BABYLON RAILROAD HORSE CAR LINE RUNNING THROUGH FIRE ISLAND AVENUE IS ALSO SHOWN.
