JUNE 23 - WORK HAD BEGUN ON THE EASTBOUND SIDE
ON JUNE 28 THE "NEW" TEMPORARY WESTBOUND TRACK WAS TAKEN OUT OF SERVICE AND REMOVED LEAVING TWO TRACKS FOR EASTBOUND TRAINS.
ON JUNE 29   THE NEW CONCRETE   VIADUCT, WESTBOUND ATLANTIC DIVISION TRACK AND CABIN FIVE'S INTERLOCKING - INCLUDING A DERAIL, DETECTOR BARS AND FACING POINT LOCK - WERE PLACED IN SERVICE
AN EASTWARD EXTRA FREIGHT APPROACHED BEHIND G53b NUMBER 135 (BROOKS APRIL 1911). FOR YEARS THE G53 WAS THE RAILROAD'S STANDARD ROAD FREIGHT ENGINE. CHECK OUT THE BRAKEMAN RIDING THE SECOND CAR. THAT'S WHY TELLTALES WERE USED ALL OVER THE ROAD.
ON JUNE 29 THESE TWO PERMANENT MAIN LINE WESTBOUND TRACKS AND THE NEW WEST- BOUND ATLANTIC DIVISION TRACK ON THE NEW CONCRETE VIADUCT WERE PLACED IN SERVICE
AFTER JUNE 29 CABIN FIVE CONTROLLED THE GRADE CROSSING OF THE NEW WESTBOUND ATLANTIC DIVISION TRACK ON THE NEW CONCRETE VIADUCT AND THE TWO EASTBOUND TEMPORARY MAIN LINE TRACKS. THE ATLANTIC DIVISION TRACK ON THE WOOD VIADUCT WAS OPERATED AS THE EASTBOUND TRACK.
